Water purification for washer disinfectors
Microbiological purification of the water used in the washing and thermal disinfection of surgical instruments in hospitals is essential to maximise the effectiveness of the disinfection process.
The Mediapure in-Line filter range offers maximum microbiological protection of water thanks to the performance of the two membranes used, Medisulfone® for ultrafiltration (0.005 microns) and Versatile-PES® for microfiltration (0.15 microns).
Both membranes guarantee the highest bacterial retention (11 LRV) compared to similar products on the market; Medisulfone®, developed for ultrafiltration of water for the dialysis sector, also has high viral (8 LRV) and endotoxin (5 LRV) retention.
Some of the main advantages are:
- Maximum control of microorganisms and particles in water with sterilisation grade membranes
- high flow rates and service life, tested up to one year with mains water (TOC 16.2 mg/l, Total Hardness 46°F, Dry Residue 796.0 mg/l)
- Materials suitable for thermal/chemical disinfection processes
- Tri-clamp connections with air vents
- Possibility of using RFID sensors (on request) for product identification
Endosmart in-line filters, also available in a sterile version, are particularly suitable for the bacteriological purification of:
- tap water (point of use) for healthcare facilities and private businesses
- process water
- feed water for endoscope reprocessors
- feed water for washing instruments in general
- water for birthing pools
Filter production is 100% inspected for structural integrity and hollow fibre membrane integrity; material biocompatibility in accordance with ISO 10993
