Animals renal failure

Animals renal failure

Renal failure in small animals is a widespread condition that affects cats more than dogs.

Symptoms of renal failure in cats include frequent urination, loss of protein in the urine and loss of the ability to retain water. For dogs, however, chronic renal failure usually results from repeated episodes of acute renal failure.

The age of the animal is a prognostic factor for chronic renal failure, which can develop abruptly when associated with conditions such as urinary tract obstruction or drug intoxication, or secondary to acute renal failure from poisoning.

Medica S.p.A. has developed a specific product for the purification of the blood of small animals, consisting of a dedicated equipment and relative device.
