Cardiology
Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) is a chronic clinical syndrome of reduced cardiac function which, in more advanced stages, can lead to fluid retention and pulmonary oedema and is often associated with acute renal failure.
Without appropriate treatment, including extracorporeal removal of excess fluid, the prognosis can be poor.
Medica S.p.A. has developed a therapy aimed at removing water through extracorporeal treatment in patients refractory to drug treatment.
